Update 1st july 2010

Once upon a time, long before the first word was hammered into stone, man told beautiful stories. Storytelling is one of the oldest arts in human history, and it has the immense power to cross any border, to bridge any sea, and to resonate across thousands of years. It transcends barriers of language and culture, spreading imaginary worlds from continent to continent, living on in people’s minds, and preserved by whatever technological means are available

Update 15th August 2009

“It’s sort of interesting that movies have their moments where suddenly they come back into focus again, and I hope this can happen for Nightbreed… “
Clive And Kicking
By Mike Watt, The Dark Side, Issue 101, February/March 2003

Yes, YOU can make a difference and help this modern classic be seen in its intended cut for the first time!

“The Director’s cut is 12 minutes longer and contains material the MPAA
had me remove. And, more significantly, it contains material that UA had me remove. I think they underestimated the horror audience. They lacked faith
in them.”
Clive Barker

But at ConstructingHorror we have faith, and many more with us. With the support of the loyal audience, fans and associates of the macabre, a Director’s Cut will become reality.

Help Clive Barker to show the size of his audience and demand an extended version of NIGHTBREED, by sending an email to Phil and Sarah Stokes of Clive Barker’s official website REVELATIONS – The Official Clive Barker Resource at: philandsarah@clivebarker.info or send them a Tweet to @philandsarah

Simply putting down your name or screen name is fine, but it’s even better if you add your country of residence and a few words on why a Directors Cut of NIGHTBREED needs to be produced.

Nightbreed is a uniquely innovative horror movie as the traditional roles are overturned when “monsters” become protagonists fighting the ordinary world
and the antagonists there. A contemporary classic of the horror genre that
definitely deserves a re-cut, re-mastered release to show the intended visions
of the fantastic worlds imagined by the greatest creator of horror in modern
time, Clive Barker.
